TATER Family

The same engineering we apply to compliance monitoring for businesses, pointed at a problem that hits closer to home.

TATER Family is a separate line of products for households, built by the team behind the TATER compliance platform. It starts with the problem we could not solve as parents with the tools already on the market: knowing what our kids were actually doing online, not the keyhole view an API happens to expose.

Monitor

A signed Windows agent on each child's PC records the app in front of them, window titles, the sites they visit, what they search for, and periodic screenshots. Per-app and per-site time budgets that actually enforce, bedtime and school-hours blocks, and a “needs review” queue so you are not expected to read everything. Screenshots stay pictures an adult opens deliberately — we do not run text recognition over them or make them searchable, and that is a decision rather than a gap.

The household board

The shared calendar, chores, lists, recipes and dinner plan that runs the house — on your phone, your laptop, and a wall display running on whatever tablet is already in the kitchen drawer. Chores pay out in stars that settle themselves, so “whose turn is it” and “did you actually do it” both have answers. No $300 screen to buy.

Vault

The passwords a household genuinely shares — the wifi, the streaming logins, the account the school portal is under. Encrypted in your browser, so our servers hold ciphertext and nothing else; each device you approve gets its own key, and you can take one back. Send a single credential to a babysitter on a link that expires.

Subscriptions now, spending next

Solutions

The paperwork nobody wants to own. Subscriptions ships today: what renews, when, for how much, and what you have stopped paying for. Household spending and allowance are next, built on the same ledger the stars already run on.

Why we built it

Every parental monitoring tool sees the surfaces it was built to see. The conversations that matter have moved to surfaces most of them never look at — document comment threads, chat DMs, and web clients for apps that were supposed to be mobile-only. Because those tools work through APIs, they can only see what each platform chooses to expose. TATER Family works at the device level: if your child can read it, the agent can capture it.

How we handle the hard part

Monitoring software earns trust or it deserves none. These are commitments, not settings.

A monitored device is visibly monitored

No stealth mode, no hidden install, not as an option and not on request. A child can see what is being recorded, described in plain language.

Your data stays yours

Nothing sold, nothing shared, no advertising model. Vault secrets are encrypted in your browser before they reach us, so for those we hold ciphertext and could not read them if we wanted to.

Coordination is not surveillance

The family calendar and chore chart never show captured content. Screenshots and messages stay behind their own product and their own sign-in.

Built to be handed over

Monitoring a nine-year-old and a seventeen-year-old should not look the same. Visibility is designed to wind down as a kid earns independence.

Start with what's shipping

TATER Family is live. Sign in to set up your household, add a child's computer, and you will be given a code and this installer. The rest is being built in the order that helps most.

Open TATER Family → ↓ Windows agent (MSI)

The installer is signed by TATER Security, LLC and asks for a device code when you run it. The code comes from Manage → Monitor → Computers inside TATER Family, so a computer can only be added by somebody who is already signed in to your household.

Already on TATER TOTS? It keeps running. TOTS is here.
