TATER Insights: Reporting the Whole Org Can Trust

June 24, 2026 TATER Security Team 7 min read

Every platform accumulates data faster than it accumulates ways to share that data responsibly. The compliance manager wants posture trends. The help-desk lead wants ticket throughput. The CFO wants licensing spend. HR wants onboarding progress — and absolutely should not see the security team's incident queue while looking for it.

TATER Insights exists to serve all of those people from one place without giving any of them more than their job requires.

Eight Reports Out of the Box

Insights ships with built-in reports covering the questions organizations actually ask: Compliance Posture, Risk Register, Service Desk Performance, Helpdesk Drilldown, Training Compliance, Vendor & Contract Summary, Activity Log Trends, and Subscription & Licensing. Each pairs KPI tiles with charts and a sortable, exportable table — the format leadership skims and analysts dig into.

Access Control That Understands Departments

Two mechanisms work together. Report-level tiers (Open, Auditor+, SuperAdmin) decide who can run a report at all. Then per-row department filtering decides what they see inside it: an HR manager running the service-desk report sees HR tickets, an accounts-receivable clerk sees AR, and administrators see everything. Nine standard groups seed on first run and map onto the same categories TATER Ops already uses for tickets, so the access model matches how the organization actually works.

Reports That Deliver Themselves

Any report can be scheduled: weekly posture summary to the CISO, monthly vendor report to procurement, quarterly licensing roll-up to finance — rendered and mailed automatically. Exports cover CSV and XLSX for the spreadsheet crowd and branded PDF for the board pack. For teams that live in Microsoft's BI stack, Insights data is also exposed as a Power BI dataset, so the analysts who already build company dashboards can pull live TATER numbers into them.

Built for MSPs Too

Service providers get cross-org roll-ups: one report spanning every client tenant they manage, with the same access discipline applied per organization. Client A's numbers never bleed into Client B's report — the isolation model underneath is the same one that keeps their scan data separate.

Insights is included with every TATER subscription. It is not a module you justify in next year's budget; it is where the platform's data goes to become decisions.
